Partners Dental Solutions was proud to participate as a sponsor and exhibitor at the 2026 AOS COS Conference, held June 5–7 at the beautiful 1 Hotel South Beach in Miami, Florida. The event brought together clinicians, educators, surgeons, orthodontists, general dentists, pediatric dentists, and industry partners who share a common goal: advancing patient care through collaboration, innovation, and education.

The COS Conference offered a unique opportunity to connect with both current customers and new clinicians who are actively exploring airway-focused treatment, skeletal expansion, TAD-supported appliances, orthognathic surgery, myofunctional therapy, and interdisciplinary treatment planning. Throughout the weekend, our team engaged in meaningful conversations about clinical challenges, treatment workflows, and the growing demand for airway-focused solutions.

Learning from Industry Leaders

One of the most valuable aspects of the conference was the diverse educational lineup. Presentations covered topics including airway-oriented orthodontic mechanics, maxillary expansion techniques, sleep-disordered breathing, myofunctional therapy, orthognathic surgery, TMJ management, treatment planning, and long-term functional outcomes. Speakers such as Dr. David Alfi, Dr. Ryan Cody, Dr. John Karotkin, Dr. Todd Scheyer, Dr. Francisco Carrillo, Dr. Jerry Simmons, and others highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration when treating airway, skeletal, and functional concerns.

As a laboratory dedicated to supporting airway and expansion workflows, these educational opportunities allow us to better understand the evolving needs of clinicians and continually refine the support, products, and resources we provide to our customers.

Connecting with New Practices Exploring Airway Treatment

A consistent theme throughout the weekend was the growing interest in airway treatment among providers who are looking to expand their services.

We met with Dr. Elias Josephs of Naples, Florida, a pediatric dentist who is beginning to incorporate orthodontics into his practice. Dr. Josephs expressed interest in airway treatment, skeletal expansion, and TAD-supported therapy and was eager to learn about resources available to help clinicians who are new to these treatment modalities.

Similarly, we connected with Angie from Holistic Dental House in Michigan, who shared that many patients on her waiting list are actively seeking airway evaluations and treatment options. Discussions focused on MARPE, E² expansion, educational resources, and pathways for clinicians looking to further their airway education while building a new practice.

We also spoke with several providers preparing to launch new offices, including clinicians interested in creating airway-centered treatment models from the ground up. These conversations reinforced the increasing demand for practical education, mentorship, and collaborative treatment planning support.

Growing Interest in E² Expansion and Skeletal Expansion Solutions

The E² Expander generated significant interest throughout the conference.

Practices such as Rozman Orthodontics in Miami, Houston Orthodontic Specialists, Glowing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, Nicholas Children's Hospital Orthodontic Clinic, Evolution Orthodontics & Pediatrics, and several other attendees stopped by to learn more about the workflow, indications, and benefits of E² expansion.

Many conversations centered around:

  • Incorporating expansion into existing treatment protocols
  • Transitioning to 3D-printed band technology
  • Bonding and retention best practices
  • Airway-focused treatment planning
  • Case selection for expansion therapies

These discussions highlighted how practices continue to seek efficient, predictable expansion solutions while minimizing barriers to implementation.

Collaboration Across Dental Specialties

One of the most exciting aspects of the conference was the diversity of specialties represented.

We connected with orthodontists, oral surgeons, pediatric dentists, general dentists, airway-focused providers, myofunctional therapists, and hospital-based clinicians. This interdisciplinary environment created opportunities for valuable discussions regarding how each specialty contributes to successful patient outcomes.

Notable conversations included discussions with oral and maxillofacial surgery groups exploring MARPE workflows, TAD placement considerations, tissue management around locking screws, and collaboration between orthodontic and surgical teams.

These interactions reinforce an important truth: successful airway treatment often requires a team approach, and communication between providers is essential for achieving the best patient outcomes.

Strengthening Existing Partnerships

Beyond meeting new clinicians, the conference provided an opportunity to reconnect with valued Partners Dental Solutions customers.

We were excited to spend time with Dr. Ryan Cody, who shared positive feedback regarding his MARPE cases and discussed opportunities to further streamline clinical communication and treatment planning support.

We also met with Dr. Allison Hamada and several other existing customers who shared their experiences using our appliances and offered valuable feedback that helps us continue improving both our products and customer experience.

One of the highlights of the weekend was hearing existing customers actively share their experiences with prospective providers. These peer-to-peer conversations often provide the most authentic insight into clinical outcomes and laboratory partnerships.

Building the Future of Airway Treatment Together

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the AOS COS Conference was the continued momentum surrounding airway-focused care. Providers across specialties are actively seeking education, collaboration, and treatment solutions that help address airway concerns while improving long-term patient health.

At Partners Dental Solutions, we remain committed to supporting clinicians through every stage of that journey—whether they are placing their first TAD-supported appliance, submitting their first MARPE case, exploring expansion options, or developing a comprehensive airway treatment program.

We are grateful to the AOS team for hosting an outstanding event and to every clinician who stopped by our booth to share ideas, ask questions, and discuss the future of patient care.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and helping practices transform education into clinical success.
